1. Who we are
The Meta Project Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website https://bodyreset.online and the coaching, consult, and bloodwork services offered through The Body Reset (the “Service”).
We are based in Wellington, New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
We handle your information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, because we collect and use health information, the Health Information Privacy Code 2020.
2. Information we collect
Personal information
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Address and location details
- Payment information, which is processed securely by our third party payment provider
- Information you give us during consults, coaching, and onboarding
Health information As part of the Bloodwork and Biomarker Consult and our coaching programs, we collect health information, which may include:
- Blood test and biomarker results
- DNA test results, where a DNA test is part of your program
- Health history, symptoms, medications, and lifestyle information you provide
- Notes made by your coach and our clinical team
Health information is sensitive. We only collect what we need to deliver your consult and program safely.
Usage and device data When you use our website we may collect your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and time spent on the site.
Cookies and tracking We use cookies and similar technologies for site function, preferences, security, and marketing analytics. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not work as a result. See section 7 for marketing and analytics detail.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Deliver and manage your consult, coaching, and program
- Collect, interpret, and act on your bloodwork and health information
- Communicate with you about your results, sessions, and support
- Process payments
- Send you service updates and, where you have opted in, marketing
- Improve our Service and website
- Detect and address technical and security issues
- Meet our legal obligations
4. How we handle your bloodwork and health information
- Your bloods are collected and processed by accredited testing laboratories in New Zealand and Australia, including but not limited to PathLab, Awanui, and ACL.
- Your results are reviewed and interpreted by our Registered Clinical Nutritionist and clinical team.
- Access to your health information is limited to your coach and the clinical team involved in your care.
- We store your health information in our client management systems with access controls in place.
- We use your health information only to guide and deliver your program. We do not use it for marketing and we never sell it.
5. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third party marketing.
We share information only where it is needed to run the Service, with:
- The testing laboratories that process your bloods.
- Our clinical and coaching team, including our Registered Clinical Nutritionist.
- Service providers who help us operate. These include GoHighLevel (client management and communication), Trainiac (coaching platform), OnceHub (booking and scheduling), Zoom (video consults), Slack (internal team communication), and Zapier (secure data connections between our tools), along with our payment provider. These providers may only use your information to perform their service for us.
- Our operations team, some of whom are based overseas. See section 8 on offshore handling.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our clients, the public, or us.
6. Marketing communications
If you have opted in, we may send you marketing emails and messages. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not affect service messages about your consult or program.
7. Analytics and advertising
We use third party tools to understand how our website and ads perform:
- Google Analytics to measure website traffic and usage.
- Google Ads conversion tracking to measure ad performance.
- Meta Pixel to measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
These tools may use cookies and collect usage data. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and manage ad preferences through Google and Meta directly. We do not send your health information to these tools.
8. Storage, security, and offshore handling
We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, including access controls and secure storage with our providers. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so while we protect your information we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Some of our providers and team members store or access information outside New Zealand, including overseas operations team members and providers that host data overseas. Where information is handled offshore, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard comparable to the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
9. How long we keep your information
We keep your personal and health information for as long as needed to deliver the Service and to meet our legal and record keeping obligations, after which we securely delete or de-identify it.
10. Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong
To make a request, contact us using the details in section 13. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
11. Children
Our Service is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will remove it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and, where the change is significant, notify you by email or a notice on the site. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
